Tax work, handled by the person you actually spoke with.

One page, three pathways. Preparation is the foundation; planning and representation support are noted where confirmation is still pending.

Tax Preparation

Who it's for

Individuals and families, self-employed professionals, and small-business owners in Ormond Beach and the surrounding Volusia County area.

The problem it addresses

Most preparation problems aren't arithmetic. They come from a detail nobody asked about — a mid-year change, an unusual sale, a second source of income, a deduction that turns on a fact the form never requests. Software doesn't ask. A person does.

What the engagement may include

  • A conversation about what changed this year before any form is opened
  • Preparation of your federal return, based on your documented situation
  • Research where the correct treatment isn't obvious, rather than an assumption
  • A plain-language walkthrough of the result and how it was reached
  • Notes on anything worth watching or preparing for next year

What to prepare

  • Income documents for the year (W-2, 1099, K-1, and similar)
  • A short summary of anything that changed — moves, new work, a sale, a life event
  • Prior-year return, if you have it available
  • Records of expenses you believe may be deductible
  • Any correspondence you have received from a tax authority

Describe your situation through the inquiry form and Karen will follow up on what she still needs to know.

Tax Planning

Confirm before publishing — This service and its description require Karen's approval before publication. Availability is confirmed during the initial inquiry.

Who it's for

Taxpayers who would rather ask the question while the year is still in progress than learn the answer in April.

The problem it addresses

By the time a return is prepared, most of the decisions that shaped it have already happened. Planning moves the conversation earlier, to the point where timing, structure, and estimated payments can still be influenced.

What the engagement may include

  • A review of the year in progress and where it appears to be heading
  • Estimated payment guidance so the outcome isn't a surprise
  • Discussion of the timing of decisions you are already weighing
  • A written summary of what was discussed and what to do next

What to prepare

  • Year-to-date income and expense figures
  • Prior-year return for a point of comparison
  • A list of decisions you expect to make before year end

Mention planning in your inquiry; availability will be confirmed before any engagement begins.

03Pending confirmation

IRS Notice & Representation Support

Confirm before publishing — IRS representation availability requires Karen's approval before publication and will be confirmed during the initial inquiry.

Who it's for

Taxpayers who have received IRS correspondence, or who are facing an examination or collection matter and do not want to answer it alone.

The problem it addresses

An IRS letter is written to be answered precisely, within a deadline, in a specific way. Enrolled Agents hold unlimited representation rights before the IRS — which means an EA can stand between you and that correspondence.

What the engagement may include

  • Review of the notice and an explanation of what it is actually asking
  • An assessment of the options available and their likely consequences
  • Preparation of the response and supporting documentation
  • Representation before the IRS where the engagement provides for it

What to prepare

  • The complete notice, including every page and the envelope date
  • The return the notice refers to
  • Any prior correspondence about the same matter
  • A note of any deadline printed on the letter

Mention the notice in your inquiry and include its date and notice number — not your Social Security number.
